Max Scherzer ($11,900 on FanDuel): Max Scherzer wasn't quite as dominant in July, but after back-to-back starts with double-digit punchouts, it doesn't look like we have a whole lot to worry about. Mad Max still has some of the league's best marks this side of Chris Sale, boasting a 2.71 SIERA, 34.7% strikeout rate, and 6.3% walk rate. The Atlanta Braves aren't a matchup to fear (95 wRC+ versus righties), and they have a slate-low 3.11 implied team total. Really, the only hesitation is Scherzer's high price tag, but we had a similar situation with Trevor Bauer on Monday, and all he did was rattle off 61 FanDuel points on a surprisingly quiet hitting night. If you can fit him in, Scherzer is the way to go.
