There's not a better offense to target on Monday's main slate than the Toronto Blue Jays, who are up against Kansas City Royals lefty Eric Skoglund tonight.

Skoglund didn't look promising when he was called up for his first career big-league action in 2017 after managing only a 4.30 xFIP over his 19 Triple-A starts. His eight games (22 2/3 innings) in the majors have been particularly ugly, with a heinous 5.96 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA), 12.7% strikeout rate, 11.9% walk rate, 36.0% hard-hit rate and 43.5% fly-ball rate.

Kevin Pillar is coming off a 2017 campaign that saw him look very solid in his 155 plate appearances against southpaws as he recorded a .395 wOBA and .224 isolated slugging (ISO) in the split. That gives him a .347 wOBA and .174 ISO against lefties since the start of the 2016 season, and those numbers are more than strong enough to create big value tonight.
