Patriots' Kendrick Bourne diagnosed with torn ACL

New England Patriots wide receiver Kendrick Bourne has been diagnosed with an ACL tear, reports Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

What It Means:

Bourne will miss the remainder of the season after suffering the injury in Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins. DeVante Parker is in the concussion protocol, so the Patriots may be left with Demario Douglas, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Jalen Reagor as their top receivers in Week 9 against the Washington Commanders.

Bourne caught 37 passes on 55 targets for 406 yards and 4 touchdowns this season. He has a 20.2% target share and leads the Patriots in every major receiving category. The Commanders are allowing the second-most FanDuel points per game to receivers this season, so New England's ragtag crew will at least have a plus matchup.
